About FXBrokerLab
An independent research publisher covering forex brokers, prop firms and trading tools — with a deliberately narrow claim about what our reviews are.
What we do
FXBrokerLab researches and compares forex and CFD brokers, proprietary trading firms, execution automation tools and market research platforms.
The site exists because most comparison content in this industry is either provider marketing rewritten, or lists ordered by commission rate with a star rating attached to make it look objective. Neither helps someone decide whether a provider suits their situation, and in a sector where the majority of participants lose money, that failure has real consequences.
We write to a fixed structure that forces the uncomfortable question every time: who should not use this?
What we are not
- We are not a broker, introducing broker, money manager or financial adviser. We hold no client funds and execute no trades.
- We are not authorised or regulated by any financial regulator, and we provide no regulated financial services.
- We are not a user review platform. We host no user-submitted ratings and publish no testimonials.
- We do not claim to have traded live accounts with every provider. Our reviews are research-based and labelled as such.
- We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any provider reviewed here unless explicitly stated on that page.
How we make money
We earn affiliate commission when readers open accounts or purchase evaluations through some of our links, disclosed at the top of every page carrying one. We do not sell placements, rankings or favourable coverage, and we publish reviews of providers that pay us nothing.
This model carries an obvious conflict of interest, particularly in an industry with high commission rates. Rather than pretend otherwise, we document the controls we apply in our rating methodology.
Why we publish no star ratings
Every competitor does. We think it is the single most misleading convention in this industry: it implies one-dimensional quality, it obscures jurisdiction and suitability differences, and it correlates far too neatly with commission rates. We use explicit “consider it if” and “avoid it if” statements instead.
